Dear Pet Parents,
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our first annual Halloween Pawty! We hope you and your pups had as much fun as we did. We sincerely appreciate your attendance and continued support.
The air is becoming crisper, signaling the arrival of winter. We have some exciting announcements and recommendations for the upcoming season!
· Join us for the annual Kewaskum Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 7th, at 5 PM! Save the date for a fun and festive experience walking as a Tails & Trails family! Please line up at 4:30 PM at the staging area with your pup, dressed in your festive attire. More details will be provided in a separate email invitation!
· Save the date for our first annual Pictures with Santa and Holiday Hike on Saturday, December 13, at 3 PM. Have you and your fur baby’s picture taken with Santa and then enjoy a candlelit hike on Labrador Lane. More details will follow.
· Holiday Hours! There will be no daycare on the following dates to allow staff to spend the holidays with their families:
– Thanksgiving Day (Daycare services the day after Thanksgiving will be available, depending on the number of interested participants)
– Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
– New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
· Boarding will be available throughout the holidays, with adjusted pick-up and drop-off times. There will be no pick-up or drop-off on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year’s day. Drop off/pick up times the day before Thanksgiving will be between 8am-4pm. Drop off/pick up times on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve will be between 8am – 10am only. Thank you for understanding! Thanksgiving and Christmas Day dinner will be available for your pup for $8.
· Winter Attire for Dogs! We appreciate that you take the time to bundle your furry friends up in sweaters and jackets during the colder weather. However, please note that we will remove these items after their arrival and cannot guarantee that we will have time to put them back on at pickup.
· As a reminder, group play begins at 8 AM. We strongly encourage you to arrive as close to 8 AM as possible if your pet is attending daycare, as our rotational play groups are designed to maximize their time in “class.” We want your furry kids to enjoy their playtime to the fullest, schedule permitting!
· It is important to understand that while everyone has different schedules, regular visits to daycare are essential for your pup’s adjustment to the environment, staff, and other canine friends. We
cannot overemphasize the importance of consistency, as it helps reduce stress, separation anxiety, and overstimulation that can occur during the initial adjustment period. Once puppies become confident in their routine and comfortable with familiar faces, attending daycare regularly is ideal for their emotional and physical well-being.
· We are making one last request that you use regular leashes and clip-on collars for your pets. While we understand the benefits of harnesses, a simple clip-on collar and leash make drop-off and pick-up times easier and safer for everyone. Additionally, please remember that due to safety reasons, retractable leashes are not permitted. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
If you have any questions or concerns about the information provided, please feel free to reach out to us. We are committed to being fully transparent and are here to assist you. We take pride in caring for your pups and are dedicated to bringing out the best in them! Thank you for trusting us with them!
Happy Tails,
The Tails & Trails Team
